Meet the Team
Art Lovestedt has more than a decade of CIO experience, including extensive academic and professional experience in business management and information technology. He has been the CIO at PlayStream (now Internap), Guidant Financial Group and Online Video Service, and held contract or consulting positions at ShopNow.com, Blue Nile and TPI Software (now Hypercom). Five previous companies have gone public or been purchased by a public company during or just after his tenure. Areas of expertise include strategic planning, process automation and efficiency, information system design and management, web marketing, team building and business development.
Art holds a M.S. in Computer Systems with an emphasis in Technology Management, and a B.A. in Business Administration with emphases in Organizational Behavior and Marketing from the University of Washington. He is an Adjunct Professor at Bellevue College, teaching both Business and Information Technology courses.
Steve Kennedy is an experienced executive and Chief Information Officer (CIO). He has been a CIO since 1996, including 15 years as CIO for The Mattei Companies and for S4 Technologies. As a consultant, he has been the part-time or interim CIO for multiple companies, including Jimale Technical Services, Allegis Communications; Bellwether Housing; and more.
Steve’s areas of expertise include strategic planning, IT governance, executive leadership and sponsorship of strategic projects. With his consulting roles, Steve often finds himself identifying the root cause of and correcting under-performing technology departments. He has gained extensive knowledge of the insurance industry serving multiple roles over nearly four decades.
John Leech brings more than 30 years of successful CTO/CIO leadership experience across retail, wholesale, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, aerospace, and government industries for client companies to tap into. He has a proven track record for helping companies grow revenues and profits through Strategic alignment of IT with business needs; technology Roadmap building; IT Assessments; process improvements including governance, portfolio program and project management; organizational team building and leadership development. Companies at which John held the highest IT position include Esterline/Korry Electronics, Cutter & Buck, and Savers Inc., as well as smaller organizations and management consulting firms. From these diverse assignments John’s background incorporates ERP solutions, custom application development, business intelligence/analytics, system architecture/integration, infrastructure, and business continuity provisioning.
John holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Washington and an MS Operations Management from the University of Southern California. He is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and served his country for 9 years on active duty and then another 19 as a reservist. Because the military provided his education as well as great early experience to launch his civilian career, John is adamant about paying this back, and does so as a volunteer mentor to new young veterans in their transition to private sector careers and working with multiple agencies that serve this important mission.
Michael McNutt is an entrepreneurial, strategic, and tactical President /General Manager/ COO / V.P. Operations with 15+ years manufacturing experience in companies ranging from US$1 million to US$400 million including oversight of international operations. Full profit and loss responsibilities with a focus on engineering, purchasing, planning, quality assurance, and shop floors, (including management of sales, marketing, and overall strategic planning). Michael thrives in fast-paced, team oriented environment, where innovation and long term sustainable results are valued.
